1985 B.C. Rich USA Bich Transparent Red Sunburst

For sale we have an incredible BC Rich Bich. The guitar was owned by a good friend of the store who is an excellent guitar tech. The previous owner (the guitar tech) freshened up the guitar to make it an extremely reliable and playable instrument by doing the following:

1. The original electronics (included) were delicately removed and replaced with brand new replacements from Neal Moser ($350). The original wires are also included with the original electronics. The new electronics are MUCH neater than the originals

2. The original bridge (included) was replaced with a brand new bridge from Neal Moser ($200). The original bridge is fully functional and trouble free, but has some tarnishing on it. 

3. The Grover Rotomatic Imperial tuners were replaced (original's included). The originals are REALLY clean so it wasn't a necessary swap by any means, but now you have two sets of tuners

4. The original Dimarzio Super Distortion and PAF Pro were restored by Bobby Popper at Tone Master Pickups and sound phenomenal!

5. The two rubber bumper feet on the bottom horns are replacements from Neal Moser but the originals are included.

6. The guitar will ship in an aftermarket BC Rich Case ($319).

 As far as the condition of the guitar itself from the headstock down to the horns:

1. The headstock is clean overall with some small scuffs and nicks around the edges. However, some of the finish on the treble side around the b string tuner has been carefully scraped away to ensure there was no break in the wood (just a prominent grain). The nut is slotted perfectly.

2. The fretboard is a beautiful dark and even ebony with cloud inlays. The frets are clean with no divots or wear. The back of headstock and the back of the neck are both clean. The sunburst finish has a slight purple metallic sparkle top coat to it and it looks exceptional on the back of the neck. There is a slight flame to the wood on the back of the neck. 

3. The front of the body is clean overall with no major dings or gashes. The fresh electronics look really nice because all of the metal is brand new (washers, switch tips). The horns have mild wear on them, but are not badly chewed up like most Bich guitars. The worst of the finish scrapes is on the edge by the input jack or on the back in the swoop to the treble horn. There is some buckle scratching on the back of the guitar, but it presents itself as indentations in the finish instead of scratches that break through the finish into the wood. 

 The neck is straight with a little bit of relief in it. The action is 2mm on the bass side and 1.75 on the treble side. The guitar plays wonderfully with no fret-outs. This is truly an incredible example of a Bich that you can enjoy as a hardcore guitar player or as a dedicated collector. We're not exactly sure what to call the color, but it is a beautiful sunburst with a tinge of metallic purple around the edges.
